Founder and Managing Attorney
I’m the founder and managing attorney of The Law Offices of Tommy M. Troncoso. I represent injured people and families who have lost a loved one due to someone else’s wrongful conduct.
My practice is built around personal attention, clear communication, and thorough case preparation. I only represent people — never large corporations, insurance companies, or government entities.

A brief description is enough to start the conversation.
Tommy M. Troncoso is a California attorney who helps injured people and families stand up to insurance companies and other negligent parties. He founded the firm with the goal of providing high-quality legal representation to people who might otherwise be shut out of the legal system. He does this by representing clients on a contingency-fee basis, which means you do not pay any attorney’s fees unless your case recovers money, and you never pay anything up front.
Tommy’s law practice focuses on personal injury and abuse cases, including car accidents, premises liability, dog bites, construction site injuries, sexual abuse, elder abuse, product liability, serious injuries, and wrongful death cases. He represents people who have been seriously harmed and need someone in their corner.
When you hire The Law Offices of Tommy M. Troncoso, you work directly with Tommy. He stays involved in every case and oversees all major decisions. You will not be rushed or pressured into quick or unfair settlements. His goal in every case is simple: protect his clients, tell them the truth, and pursue the best possible result under the law.
Before becoming an attorney, Tommy worked as a paralegal for eight years, gaining hands-on experience with injury cases, litigation procedures, and the real-world challenges clients face when navigating the legal system. That experience gave him a practical understanding of how cases are built, evaluated, and resolved long before he became a licensed attorney.
Tommy became an attorney through California’s Law Office Study Program, a California-authorized apprenticeship pathway that allows attorneys to qualify for the Bar through intensive, hands-on legal training under the supervision of experienced lawyers. After completing this program, Tommy passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt. This experience-driven path to licensure has deep roots in American law and reflects a practical, results-focused approach to legal training. Notably, respected American lawyers such as Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson studied law through similar apprenticeship-based pathways.
Tommy completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history in 2003.
People usually contact my office after an accident or other serious event that has turned their life upside down. They are often stressed and have more questions than answers. My role is to give you clear, realistic guidance and help you make informed decisions — without pressure, sales pitches, or empty promises. I help clients understand their options, take the pressure off their shoulders, and pursue compensation for the full impact an incident has had on their lives.
I focus on respectful representation, straightforward communication, and a practical approach to achieving justice. I explain complicated legal concepts in plain language so clients can understand what is happening in their case and make informed decisions at every stage.
I believe high-quality legal representation should be accessible to all who need it, and I built my practice around serving people and families — not corporations or institutions.
Many law firms take a high volume of cases and quickly hand clients off to associate attorneys soon after you sign up. I keep my practice smaller so I can personally oversee every case and maintain consistent standards from start to finish.
